A Note of Encouragement
We are on the downhill slide in our 2024/2025 Scripture Memory goal! We only have 6 more verses to go and 4 more months to get there. Many of you have been working hard on these--we hope you have been encouraged by this exercise. And...if you've fallen behind it's okay!! See if you can find some time to recommit to starting right where you left off---get out that placemat (if you need another one we can get you one) or whatever other tool has been helpful!
We built in review time this summer so we hope you will be planning to use those weeks to keep persevering. As always, we're rooting for you.

All Children's (Ages 2-5th Grade) Scripture Memory
March 23 & 30
Psalm 145: Verse 1-16 ESV
I will extol you, my God and King, and bless your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless you and praise your name forever and ever. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts. On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate. They shall speak of the might of your awesome deeds, and I will declare your greatness. They shall pour forth the fame of your abundant goodness and shall sing aloud of your righteousness. The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. The Lord is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made. All your works shall give thanks to you, O Lord, and all your saints shall bless you! They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom and tell of your power, to make known to the children of man your mighty deeds, and the glorious splendor of your kingdom. Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations. The Lord upholds all who are falling and raises up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due season. You open your hand; you satisfy the desire of every living thing.

(Consider the thread of kings that runs through the Bible)
Main Truth: Jesus is Messiah King
Catechism Question #24: Why was it necessary for Christ, the Redeemer, to die? To deliver us from the power and penalty of sin and bring us back to God.
Song: Sing Hosannah
K-1st Grade: The ABCs of God
Zealous: God acts with His whole heart.
God's zeal to save us led Him down a road of selfless humility and unimaginable pain and suffering. Even beyond His zeal for saving us is God's zeal for His glory—it is ultimate.
2nd-3rd Grade: In the Beginning...Jesus
God's Prophets Foretell Coming Judgment and Deliverance
God sends prophets to His people, warning them of judgment if they do not repent. He sends enemy nations to take Israel and then Judah into captivity, but He promises to send a new type of King to rule over His people and promises to make a new kind of covenant with them.
4th-5th Grade: Lord Teach Us To Pray
Your Kingdom Come: Jesus Heals a Woman
Praying "Your Kingdom come" is a commitment to being part of God's work of building His Kingdom in this world.
Middle School: AMPLIFY: Growing a Faith That Lasts
We continue our study of “Suffering” with a lesson entitled “He’s Near.” We will focus on helping students understand that God chose to step into the midst of our suffering – in the form of Christ’s death on the cross – not to remain distant from it.

Partners of the Week:
Local: NJCAA tournament
Pray as many teams, staff, and fans come to Hutchinson this week for the basketball tournament. Pray for safety, logistics, and that God’s love may be displayed to all who come through our community.
Global: Joe and Denise
Pray for their partner (Tariel) in Tbilisi, Georgia where they worked last year to set up the printer. Praise God that they have been able to print a few books for the Church and pray as they seek to obtain more equipment over the next few months. Praise God also for two Brazilian families who they have been mentoring that are being sent to the North Caucasus region and pray for their transition.
Service Opportunity
Renee Vernon is seeking families to open their hearts and homes to international students for the 2024-2025 school year. This is more than just hosting—it’s a calling to love, serve, and share the love of Christ with students from around the world.
As a host family, you will: ✅ Provide a welcoming home for a student pursuing their American dream ✅ Share the love of Jesus through hospitality, kindness, and daily life ✅ Receive a monthly stipend and ongoing local and national support
Hosting is an opportunity to live out the Gospel, build lifelong relationships, and be a light in a young person’s life. You do not have to be married to host, nor do you have to have children living in your home.
If you have ANY questions about what it's like to be a host family or have an interest in pursuing this opportunity please contact Renee! There are MANY families in our church body that have hosted before so she can give you other people to talk to if you would like to hear about their experiences.
